Cyber Security Lead | Louisville, KY

NewStreet Consulting is recruiting for a Cyber Security Lead with a Louisville-based organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the CIO and responsible for helping lead the organization’s cybersecurity program while remaining technically involved in day-to-day security operations.

Key areas of focus include:

• Leading SOC 2 readiness and audit work
• Incident response planning and security strategy
• Vulnerability remediation and security findings
• Security policy, procedure, and disaster recovery documentation
• Network, firewall, cloud, endpoint, MFA, WAF, and POS security
• Working with SOC/SIEM, penetration testing, and security vendors
• Managing and mentoring one Security Analyst
• Partnering closely with Infrastructure and executive leadership

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of cybersecurity / information security experience
• Strong networking background, including firewalls, switches, wireless, and routers
• Experience with incident response, vulnerability remediation, security policy, and audit/compliance work
• Ability to manage security projects and work effectively with outside security vendors
• Strong technical depth with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical leaders

Location: Louisville, KY

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Experience with SOC 2, penetration testing, vulnerability management, MFA, WAF, cloud security, endpoint security, and network security is especially valuable.
