Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God in its original text (2nd Timothy 3:16-17)
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons simultaneously – God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20)
  • We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, in His virgin birth, and His sinless life (John 1:1-2, 14; Matt 1:23; Heb 4:15)
  • We believe in His doctrine and miracles as taught in the canon of the New Testament (Mark 16:15-20; 2nd Timothy 3:16)
  • We believe in His vicarious and atoning death, and His bodily resurrection and His ascension into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father (1 Corinthians 15; Ephesians 1:20; Hebrews 8:1)
  • We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ and the catching away of the Church (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 4:1)
  • We believe in Christ’s personal future return to the Earth in power to rule for a thousand years (Revelation 20:4)
  • We believe in the future resurrection of the saved and the lost; the saved to everlasting life, the lost to everlasting damnation (John 5:29)
  • We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is by repentance and faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 9:22; Ephesians 1:7)
  • We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation (Titus 3:5)
  • We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in all believers at the time of regeneration (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 6:17-20
  • We believe in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit by whose in-dwelling all believers are enabled to lead holy lives (Ephesians 5:26; 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 13:12)
  • We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to all believers who as for it (Acts 2:4)
  •  We believe the manifestation of the Holy Spirit are very much a part of the Spirit’s ministry in the church today (1 Corinthians 12-14)
  • We believe in the five fold ministry of the Church; that of Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher, Evangelist (Ephesians 4:11-12)
  • We believe in the governing of the church by elders; the Pastor as the lead elder (1st Timothy 5:17, Titus 1:5)
  • We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:18-20). We also believe baptism is symbolic of our new identification with Christ and not a means of grace or an entrance into a new covenant
  •  We believe in partaking of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) in remembrance of His death until He comes again (1st Corinthians 11:23-32)
  • We believe the Church is Christ’s body and God’s ambassadors to the world that all might come to know and believe on Jesus Christ as Savior (2 Corinthians 5:20)
